Adding a Property

Every rental you manage starts as a property in Domara. A property is a physical building or house — the thing with an address. Units are the individual rentable spaces inside it.

How to add a property

1. Go to Properties in the sidebar
2. Click Add Property in the top-right
3. Fill in the details:

- Property name — how you want to refer to it (e.g., "The Brewster House" or "456 Oak Ave")

- Address — street, city, state, zip

- Property type — single family, multi-family, condo, townhouse, or apartment

1. Click Save

You'll be taken to the property page where you can start adding units.

Tips

• Name it something you'll recognize — if you have multiple properties, names like "Oak Street Duplex" are easier to scan than just addresses
• Property type affects some reporting categorizations but doesn't limit functionality
• You can edit all details later from the property page
